Ms Lucy Liu
Ms Lucy Liu received a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Hunan Normal University. She then pursued a master’s degree researching Fractal Geometry at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Ms Liu also earned her bachelor’s degree in English Education from South China Normal University through self-learning. In addition, she received a certificate in school management and leadership from the Business School and Graduate School of Education at Harvard University.
Ms Liu has more than ten years of international education experience and in the teaching of IGCSE and A Level Mathematics, and Additional Mathematics. She is conversant with the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) curriculum. She joined YWIES Guangzhou in 2015 and has served as University Guidance Counsellor, Co-Head of Upper Secondary School, Co-Head of Secondary School, and exam officer of CAIE. She assisted Yew Wah graduates applying to prestigious universities in the world, such as University of Cambridge, New York University and The University of Hong Kong, etc. and was awarded the title of High Potential Teacher of Yew Wah and Outstanding Class Teacher in Huadu District, Guangzhou.
Ms Liu takes up the role of Acting Chinese Co-Principal of YWIES Guangzhou and she looks forward to helping students in YWIES unleash their potential and become future leaders with excellent academic performance, character and global perspectives.
