The Scholarship was established in memory of Madam Tsang Chor-hang, the founder of Yew Wah International Education Foundation. The scholarship will be awarded at the beginning of each academic year to outstanding students.
Awards
Each year, a maximum of six A Level Awards will be presented. The full scholarship will amount to the total actual tuition fee paid for the A Level two-year course at Yew Wah.
Eligibility
- Open for application by non-Yew Wah students aged 14 and above.
- Students must maintain high academic performance in three main areas: languages; mathematics and science. Students must submit to the school discipline, demonstrate good character and participate actively in school and social events.
Awarding Criteria
- Candidates must sit more than five IGCSE subjects, including: English ESL, Chinese 1st Language, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Combined Science, Coordinated Science, Physics, Chemistry or Biology.
- Candidates who obtain Grade A or above in five or more subjects in IGCSE Exams will be awarded full scholarship for A Level two-year course; candidates who obtain Grade A or above in four subjects and grade above B in the remaining subjects in the IGCSE Exams will be awarded 50% scholarship for A Level two-year course; candidates who obtain Grade A or above in three subjects and grade above C in the remaining subjects in the IGCSE Exams will be awarded 30% scholarship for A Level two- year course.
- If the number of candidates exceeds six, they will be ranked by the actual grades of the examination and only the top six will be qualified.
